About US

Southern Districts Midweek Tennis Club offers a “Midweek Ladies Doubles Tennis Competition” in Port Noarlunga SA, for all ages and abilities, from the beginner, to the seasoned player, looking for a competitive and fun, midweek hit-out.

New Players can register a team of 4 friends or come along on your own and we will find a team for you. New Members are always welcome!

The Club was officially Incorporated on the 8th February, 1985 by a group of local women, made up of mainly house-wives (societal culture of the times) and shift-workers, such as nurses, all with a like-minded passion for tennis.

The Club has now been running for over 40 years and continues to provide the opportunity for women to partake in the sport they love, around their busy home/work lifestyles.

Words from our Committee:

OUR PREZ: Linda

I joined Ladies Midweek Tennis in 2009 as a rusty 50 something after playing as a child and again when my children were small. I enjoy both the sporting and social aspect of our Club. I have been President since 2014 and embrace the challenges and rewards of this role. We are a friendly group and love welcoming new players and are open to all ages and level of competence. We all like to win, but at the end of the day, its all about fair play and sportsmanship.

OUR RECORDING SECRETARY: Barb

Ladies Midweek Tennis has been a part of my life for over 25 years. For many of those years, I have been on the Club Committee as the Recording Secretary and it has been a wonderful way to get involved and introduce new ladies to our tennis community. We play with a “will to win” but the best part really is the companionship, fun and exercise.

OUR SECRETARY: Claire

I joined Ladies Midweek Tennis as a complete novice in 2007.

In my forties, I was a mature-aged beginner of a sport I’d never played before. I enjoyed it right from day one. All the ladies are so friendly and supportive, which make up a lovely little community that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of.
